At the weekly shooi, 10 shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards, the Defence Rifle Club completed the third competition to count *f<?r Mr A. Johnson’s trophy, the winner, on the three shoots being Jas. C. Parcell, with an aggregate of 404. W. Veint was second with 403, others being, E. Lawrence 381), W. Webb 388, G. Crabbe 387, J. Jocelyn 384 A. Bed 374. At the final shoot under notice a “fish-tail” wind made conditions difficult, top score, including handicap, being registered by E. Lawrence who takes a club trophy. Scores were as follows: —E. Lawrence, 33, 34, 40 (hep 17), 134; J. C. Parcell, 41,45,41 (5), 132; W. Veint, 43, 45, 37 (4), 120; A. Key, 44, 38, 24 (23), I2Q; L. Paterson, 41, 37, 30 (12), -izcj ; W. Webb, 3Q, 42,42 (6), 129; V. Purcell, 33, 40, 27, (27) 127; G. Crnbbty 34, 37, 34 (22), 127 ; J. Jocelyn, 37, 43, 31 (15),'126; A. 8011, 30, 45, 42 (6), 123.
