OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD LOAN PROPOSAL. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Otago Central Electric Power Board proposes to take a POLL of the Ratepayers of the Otago Central Electric Power District as described in the N. Z. Gazette for 1924 at page 2859 thereof and the area added to the Otago Central Electric Power District under proclamation dated nth July 1928 and appearing in the N. Z. Gazette No. 5.7 of the 19th July 1928 at page 2225 thereof upon a PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN OF £15,000 under “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926.” The proposal of the Board is to raise a special loan of £15,000 for the purposes following; The coiv/truction of headworks and Generating Station at the Roaring Meg Stream and the erection of a high tension transmission line to link up with the present distribution system. The proponed security for such loan is an annual rate of 5-i6d in the pound sterling on the Capital Value of the rateable property in the Otago Central Electric Power District as described in the above-mentioned Gazettes and the said loan with interest thereon is proposed to be repaid by instalments over a term of 25 years. It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys the cost of raising the loan, but NO portion of the interest or sink- I ing fund on the said loan is to be paid 1 out of the loan moneys.
