Cromwell and Alexandra Golf Clubs met in a match at Alexandra on July 31afc. The game ended in a substantial win for the Cromwell club. Scores were as follows : —■ Gents. J. R. Webb beat Fenwick. Er. Mitchell and Hewitt, all square. Ladies. Miss Hotop and Miss Schaumann, all square. Mrs Paterson beat Mrs Bodkin. Miss Galbraith lost to Miss Ross. Mrs L. Jolly beat Mrs Roberts. We are informed that a keen local golfer, Mr J. Lethbridge, put up a record on the local links last week, doing the round in 36, bogey being 37. It is some time since bogey was defeated.
