Messrs Dalgely and Co. Ltd., report for week ended Monday, November 3rd as follows : Oats : —The market remains firm with a good demand for all descriptions at quotations. The quantity changing hands is not large as offerings from the country arc not heavy and store in stocks are light also. We quote : —Prime milling -Is II to -Is sd, good to best {feed Is 2d Jo Is 3d, medium to good 3s Ud to Is Id per bushel, (sacks extra.) Wheat : —There has not been a great deal offering of late, a’l lines in milling condition are readily taken by millers at the maximum rates. Fowl wheat is not plentiful and meets ready sale on arrival at (3s 3d to (3s Gd per bushel, (sacks extra.) Potatoes :—Since our last report increased consignments have been coming forward and the market in consequence is not so strong as a week ago. Owing to the lateness of the season the quality of those coming forward varies. The demand is confined to choice freshly picked lots badly graded or otherwise faulty lines arc almost neglected. We quote : —Best tables freshly picked to £ll 10s, fair to good £lO to £ll, others from £S per ton, (sucks in.) Chaif :—There is a good demand for bright heavy oaten sheaf and all coming forward meets ready sale on arrival at quotations. Medium quality is not so readily quitted, the demand for this description being limited to local use. We quote : —Best oaten sheal £7 os to £7 10s, good £(*» 10s to £7, medium £6 10s to £»3 per ton, (sacks extra).
