Prices were linn at the beginning of tlie sale, but declined Is lo Is (id towards the finish. Best wethers Ills to 20s, extra to 225, medium to good l t!s to ISs (id, light Its to 15s (id. best ewes l“s (il to, ISs (id, extra to IDs ltd, medium 15s lo Ids dd, light 13s dd to 14s (id. Fat Lambs.—77(l were penned the number forward being largely in excess of butchers' requirements. Prices showed a drop of from Is to Is (id, whilst several lines were passed out unsold. Best lambs brought from Its (id to 15s (kl. a few heavy at 20s 3d, medium to good J2s (lei to 13s (id. Fat Cattle,—lßo were yarded. Prices showed a drop of fully 10s per head, bidding being slack all through. Heavy bullocks .012 to 013 10s. extra £ll 17s dd. medium to good £lO to £ll 10s. light and inferior £D 10s to £ll, best heifers £D to £lO 10s. extra heavy lo £l2 Lss, medium £7 10s lo £8 10s, light and inferior £1 10s to £d 10s. Pigs.—There was a large yarding of store pigs and there was also a good number of porkers and bacouers forward. Prices for fat pigs ruled much (lie same as at last sale, but stores and slips were slightly easier. Suckers brought 12s to Ids dd, slips Ids to. 2ls (id, stores 2k dd to 375, porkers 32s to 38s, light Imeonors Us lo 15s, heavy bacouers to 725. Tallow and Fat.—Only a limited quantity is coming to hand and prices remain unchanged. Best tendered tallow in casks 23s (id to 255, in tiusv 20s to 22s (Id, medium to good 18s to 20s, best rough fat 18s to 20s, medium (o good Ids to I7s (id, interior Us to 15s. Oats. —There arc no new season’s oats offering and old lines are very scarce. Prime milling 2s id 4o 2s 5,1, good to best food 2s 3d to 2s id, interior to medium 2s Id to 2s 2J per bushel, sacks extra. Wheat. —There is very little business passing as very few lines are held in town and owners are to sell, Fowl wheat is in good demand. Quotations ; Prime milling Velvet 3s pJd to 3s 1 Id. red wheats 3s Dd to 3s tbj,d, host whole fowl wheat 3s 7d to 3s Dd, medium 3s 11 to 3s fi.i, broken and damaged 2s lud to 3s 3d per bustSKd, sacks extra. Chaff. —Very large consignments are coming to hand and prices are very much easier. Only prime quality is enquired for.
