Dredging and Mining.
o . The river is keeping at a very low level atul there is ever}' appearance of it continuing so, so the gorge dredges should be able to work for some time yet. The rain this morning will probably rise the river slightly, bub as it was snowing on the high country it is not likely to keep up long. The Rising Sun made a start dredging on Wednesday, but did not have a wash up. Both .Shines show an improvement in their returns this week, and the No I will likely do much better shortly. The 909 dredge moved down stream again last week and started on a piece of ground they left a short time ago on account of it being too rough. By arranging tackle to facilitate dropping back to the old cut, the dredge master now hopes to work this ground to advantage, as the prospects aro very good. DREDGING KIfiTURNH.
