"Arabian Nights" in REAL LIFE.
According to plans that have now been made. New York will soon have the largest restaurant in the world, seating 8000 people. It is to bs built on Broadway, and £200,000 has already been subscribed by the ayndi* cats. The roof garden, with real trees and turf, a fountain, and a fiftyfoot lake will be a reproduction in miniature of the famous gardens of the Trianon at Versailles. The restaurant proper will occupy the entire ground floor of the building. It will be 200 ft, long and will seat comfortably 4000 people, while the roof garden is to accommodate a similar number. The latter will be entirely open, save for sun>awnings in summer, and in winter it will be enclosed by glass and heated. It will be a fashionable rendezvous for big dance parties. A European orchestra of reputation is to be engaged, and also noted singers. The work will be commenced next month, and will probably be completed before Christmas.
