Messrs Strouach, Morris, & Co., Ltd., report for week ended 27th February, as follows : Fat Sheep : -There were 11581 penned, the majority being of medium quality. Wellrimshed sheep sold fully up to Uate rates but unfinished sorts were easier. Best wethers brought from IDs to 20s, extra to 21s 9d, medium 17s to 18s, inferior 14s to 153 best ewes 15s to 17s 3d, extra to 18s 3d, medium 13s to lis, inferior 8s to lis. Fat Lambs :—There were 132G penned, the majority being of indifferent quality. Prices for good lambs were much the same as last week, but there was very little demand for unfinished. Best lambs brought from 15s to 16s Gd, medium to good 13s to 14a, inferior Us to lis. Fat Cattle :—1 here was a large yarding of 210. Good well finished cattle were sightly firmer, but anything not so good showed a decline in value. Best bullocks bi ought from £<> 10s to £lO 10s, medium to good £8 5s to £8 15s, light £G 10 to £7 10, best cows and heifers £(> to £1 10s, medium to good £4 5s to £5, light £A to £?> 10s. Pigs:—lso yarded with prices much the same as last week. Suckers brought from 12s to 14s, slips 1 lis to 18s, stores IDs to 21s, porkers 38s to 17s, baconers 55s to 645. Rabbitskins :—We held our usual fortnightly sale on the 24th inst, when we submitted a small catalogue. Bidding was not brisk, and prices maintained about late value?. Best winter does brought up to lGd, good 12.U1 to 1 Id, medium Ud to HAd, best summers G.Jd to autumns 9d to lOd, spring bucks to B.',d, spring does to 7d, small •Ud to Gd. "Horse Hair 15d to 18d. Sheepskins:—There has been no sale since last report, the next sale being held on 3rd March. Tallow & Fat :—All supplies coming forward meet with ready sale, prime tallow bringing from 22s to 24a per cwt (casks) medium to good 18a to 21s, inferior lis to 15s Gd, best rough fat 15s to P>s, medium to good 12s to 13s lid. Oats : There is a good deal offered from both North and South and a large number of sacks have changed hands at from 2s Id to 25 lAd on trucks at stations. Quotations : "Prime nulling 2s 3£, good to best feed 2s 2sd to 2s 3d, inferior to medium 2s to 2s 2d per bushel (sacks extra.) Wheat :~The fall in ihe London Market has affected buyers here and they are inclined to stand oil. Values to-day are follows :—Prime milling Is Id to 4s sd, medium to good Is Id to is 3d, broken and damagad 3s f)d to Is, seconds and inferior 3s to :>d (id per bushel (sack;; extra.) Chaff : The market is bare of both old and now chaff and a slight rise in values has taken place. I'limo old oaten sheaf has good enquiry but inferior lots are harder of sale. Quotations : Prime oaten sheaf £4 to £\ ss. medium £3 10s to £'■'> 15s, inferior £2 15s to /,:; ss, prime new chalf £3 7s lid to £3 10, medium to good £3 to £■> ss, light and inferior/>! 10s to £2 15s per ton (bags ex.) Potatoes:—There is good enquiry for table sorts and the market is only moderately supplied, freshly dug lots bringing from £5 10 to £5 15s, extra choice to £O, medium to good £5 to £5 5s per ton (bags in.) Pressed Straw :—Oaten 45s to 47s Gd, wheaten 42s Gd per ton.
