CROMWELL DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The usual monthly meeting of the above was held on Wednesday afternoon, the chairman (Mr Hoss) presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. 'Correspondence. Letter from Chairman Naseby Hospital, re maintenance charges, etc. Replied to by Secretary, giving the information required. Letter from D. Ritchie, re renting Hospital paddock. Letter from Clerk Vincent Hospital Board as follows : The District of Vincent Hospital Board Offices. Clyde, 4th June, 1907. The Treasurer Hospital Trust, Cromwell. Sib, —Your requisition for the sum of £3Ol 2s lOd was approved and passed by this Board at its meeting on the 23rd ultimo., and will be paid in equal quarterly instalments. I was directed to point out to you tke great necessity for strict economy in the management and upkeep of your Institution, so that this Board will be enabled to assure the local contributory bodies that the hospitals in the district are being conducted in an able and efficient manner. Yours obediently, JNO. S. DICKIE, Board Clerk. Reports. The Surgeon reported that during the month of May three patients were admitted to the hospital, and that two remained over from the previous month. Of these one was discharged cured, and four still remain for fur* ther treatment, making a total of five patients under treatment for the month. The Wardsman reported having received £l2 3s 8d for maintenance, and owing, nil. Resolved—That lease of paddock to D. Ritchie be declined.
Accounts amounting to |£3o 5s 8d were passed for payment.
