SO WOULD SHE.
A woman who had been selling fish entered an omnibus with the empty basket on her arm, still giving forth an unmistakable odour of the finny folk it had carried. She look a vacant seat next a young "gentleman," who drew his coat-tails away, and plainly showed his disgust. "I s’pose,” remarked the woman, presently, “that you’d rather there was a gentleman siltin’ beside you ?” "Yes, I would,” was the prompt reply. There was a moment’s pause and then came : "So would I.”
