When Paderewiski passed through England on his way to Switzerland, he heard a small boy repeatedly, whistling the same tune, and one he had never heard before. He went up to the youngster, and, taking hold of his shoulder, said : "Tell me what tunc that is?"
When the youngster caught sight of the famous musician's long locks he replied : "You don't really want to know do you mister ?"
"Yes, of course I do, replied Paderewiski. "Well, it's 'Get yer 'air cut, " responded the boy, nervously, as he hurried away.
