Cromwell Football Club.
The annual meeting of the above club was held at the Golden Age Hotel on Friday night. The President (Mr R. May) occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of members, about 80 being present. Tlie report and balance-sheet for the year was read and the balancesheet showed a credit balance of £l3 12s 6d, and on the motion of J. Perriam and J. Tizard was adopted. A hearty vote of thanks to the outgoing committee, also to the Secretary (Mr T. Marshall) was carried unanimously. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Mr P. Williams, president; vice presidents, Messrs R. May, J. Perriam, F. Donnelly, L. Gibb, W. Kane, J. Swann, J. McLoughlin, and P. Thomas; J. D. Cameron, secretary; D. C. Cahill, captain; R. Varcoe, deputy-captain; match committee— Captain, Deputy Captain, and J. W. Perriam. Resolved—That two teams be formed this year, and the Secretary was instructed to write to the other clubs to that effect,
Resolved—That subscription be the same as last year, 4s. Resolved —That two teams, also a junior one, be sent to take part in the tournament on June 3rd. Resolved—That a team be sent to Roxburgh and Dunedin. It was decided to hold the opening practice on 21st April, Mr A. Sullivan was appointed delegate to the 0.R.F.U., and J. W. Perriam as delegate to the sub-union. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Referees Association thanking them for sending J. Wilson up to referee. Several new members were enrolled, and the usual vote to the chair closed i the meeting.
