A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —Be good enough to oblige me by allowing me to correct an error which occurred in my report of the concert of Jubilee songs, choruses, etc., which appeared in your last issue through a lapsus calami on my part in the following expression : “ That the performance was the finest exposition of music I have ever heard in Cromwell.” My criticism should have been the finest exposition of sacred music, because although the performance was a good one indeed, still it did not reach the standard of some previous performances, for example the “ Mikado,” etc.—l am, etc., One of the Audience.
