tiu. i ifi -J ■ Ul:s 4 a- I J ;•: The following regulations and by-laws for the control of Hawea Hundred during the cux-rent year are published for general information : —_ 1. The carrying capacity of the Hundred is 400 head of-great cattle. - /.. . 2. No sheep will be allowed upon the Hundred. 3. If it shall appear to the Wardens, or a majority of them, that any beast of a vicious or dangerous character, or from any other sufficient cause, is running on the Hundred, they may and shall prohibit any such animal from depasturing thereon ; and no entire animal except horses over the age of six months, and no entire horse over the age of twelve mouths, shall be depastured on the Hundred without the consent in writing of the Wardens, or a majority of them. 4. No person shall be allowed to disturb or drive cattle depasturing on. the Hundred without a written authority from one or more of the Wardens ; and in the event of it being necessary to drive any - to any other person a greater distance than half a mile, the person or persons so driving snch cattle must take them to the nearest available stock-yard, and there separate his own from those of any other person or and; return the cattle at once to the same place of Hundred from which they were driven. 5. Any person or persons offending against any of the foregoing By-laws shall be liable to a jpenalty of any sum not exceeding (£5) five pounds sterling. " 6.
