MAGISTRATE'S COURT

(BeJoreJ. S. Hickson, Esq., R. M.) Friday, March 6th. Thomas John Miles, as registrar of brands v. Charles Colquohoun, run-holder, Ben Wevis. Mr Wilson appeared for the prosecution and Mr Turton defended. The accused was charged with having some 70 sheep in his possession without the same having been registered and ear brand thereon. The information was dismissed on technical grounds, Frederick Booth and Edward Bracegirdle were charged with being drunk in Melmore Terrace, Cromwell, on the sth inst. Both pleaded guilty, and were each fined 5s and costs, 2s, or 24 hours’ imprisonment.
