"\ U N S T A N BREWE ft Y. Colonial "Wtne and Cordial Manufactory, MONTE C H RIS TO, CLYDE. J. "D. FERAUD Takes the present opportunity of informing the residents of the Northern Goldfiolds and. the general public that his factory being replete | with every convenience, he is now turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr Feraud has succeeded in producing AROMATIC TONIC BITTER WINES, which are not only agreeable beverages, but a'so have excellent medicinal cpiaiities. The following is Professor Black's report : "University, Duncdin, Otago, N.Z. " Laboratory. " Class— Beverages. " November 5, 1575. "I have examined for Mr .]. D. Feraud, of Monte Ghristo, Clyde, Otago, two samples of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the following result :—No. 827 is a sherry colored, and No. 82S is a port wine red colored liquid ; they are both perfectly transparent, showing the purity of the water and other substances employed in their manufacture. "These two beverages have a slight a<dd chemical reaction, and possess an agrecab'e cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of sweetne-s, arising from the saccharine matter of the fruit of which they are the fermented extract. " I have also examined the aromatic and other flavoring substances used by Mr Foraul in their manufacture, and from the proportions in which they are blended with the fruit wine, they must be pronounced perfectly safe, and free from anything like deleterious properties. " I consider these wines, therefore, an agreeable and perfectly safe beverage, and when diluted with three or four times their bulk of water, thoy will make a good eo ding summer drink. "James G. Buck, " Provincial Analyst." COLONIAL WINES, CORDIALS, and SYRUPS, Either in bulk or bottle. (triers from an tually at ten le.l to from any part of the Province puncJ. I). FERAUD.
