To hand from the agents, Messrs Gordon ami Gotch, Ltd., the 'Xovemfoer nunvber of the Strand and 'Wide World Magazines, and the October number of the Royal. The Wtrand contains the usual excellent series of short stories graphically illustrated, amongst this month's contributors (being James Barr, E. T. Raymond, P. (1. Wodehouse and P. Britten Austin. An interesting article 'by Penn Sherie on the mannerisms and make-up of some of our leading variety stars is a feature of the production. The. Wide World is equally interesting, and among its entertaining and diverting serials are to be found a numl»er of thrilling accounts of experiences in foreign lands, scattered widely over the earth's surface.
The October publication of the Royal is a special dancing number, and contains as a feature a charming one-step specially arranged toy Herman Darewski, probatory the most popular composer of music at the present time. The fort» of the Uoyal is light, toright and entertaining articles, and it therefore makes an ideal companion for the holidays.
The December number of "Fashions for All," to hand from the same agents, contains all that appeals to the feminine taste in the war of fashions for the ensuing winter. As usual the patterns depicted on the frontispiece accompany the publication as a gift.
