ODDFELLOWS* HALL, TO-NIGHT. After a triumphal tour through Australia under the. J. *C, Williamson, Ltd., ib'anner, "The Diggers" are paying a farewell visit to New Zealand under the direction of 'Mr Victor Beek, and will appear a't the Oddfellows' Hall tonight in an entirely ,ne'w programme of comedy sketches, musical gems, burlesques, eccentric dances, an'd potted revues. '"•The Diggers" re'turn to New Zealand 'brighter land Ibetter than eveT, and should receive an overwhelming welcome, from their friends, admirers and amusement lovers generally. The brightness and versaltility of "The Diggers" entertain'men'ts (have aroused enthusiasm and appreciation everywhere they have appeared. The eulogistic press reports 'bear 'tangible evidence of the excellence of the show. 'The Melbourne Age says: " "The Diggers' reputation ; has preeedeidi them, and laslt night miauy people had 'to lie. turned away. 'The. Diggers' presented a clever and original entertainment. They have a splendid orchestra and several exceptionally fine voices among theim, and their experience is such now that they have little left 'to learn in the arts of the stage. Included are Stan I 'Lawson, "the misleading lady"; Tano Pama, comedian; !Prank 'Perkins, baritone,; G-ns Dawson, ragtime exponent an;d daneer; Don'ald 'S'tn'aft, comedian; George Proctor, tenor; Leu. 'Walker, dancer and light comedian; Colin 'Cameron, lyric tenor; and Don 'Wallace, charactter singer. "The Diggers" orchestra of ton artists will be a special feature of the entertainment.. Judging by past experience "The Diggers" may expect a 'bumper house 'to-night. The 'box plau is at Clark and Grant's.
