THE FAMOUS N.Z. DIGGERS.

ODDFELLOWS' 'HALL, FRIDAY. That wonderful combination of artists, "The 'Diggers," is a much travelled company. Originating in France, they have" appeared in Belgium and Germany, giving performance after performance to the delight of our so'lidlers* and Allies. "The Diggers" also appeared in 'London, under the direction of Sir Alfred Butt, and wliea appearing in Glasgow were the guests of the city, on the invitation' of the Lord >Provost f Sir 'William Stewart. "The Diggers" have just completed a tour of' Australia, where they created a furore, under the banner of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., and' are now paying a farewell visit to New Zealand prior to going on tour in the East. Under the direction of Mr Victor Beck, who has introduced main notable companies to the Dominion, "The Diggeis" will appear at the Oddfellows' Hall on Friday night. Their many friend's and admirers will lemember with pleasure the .sensational success of this 'brilliant .company on their pre\ious tour through .New Zealand, when they "took the country .by htoim." "The Diggers" will present entirely now programmes and main new and no\el features, which should cause a not of mirth and laughter. Commenting on "The Diggers" perfoimance in Fiance, the Chronicles of the VZ.K.F. states: "The performauci goe's with .a businesslike swing fiom the Hist tap of the conductor's 'baton to the giand finale, and there was not a dull second in the whole performance." "The j Diggers" aic 'brighter and"bettei than ever, and their extensive icpeitoire of entirely new numbers will appeal to all •theatre goeix Included in the company are Tano 'Fama (comedian), Gus ;Dawson (ragtime exponent and dancer), ;George Proctor (tenor), Donald Stuart (comedian), Frank Perkins (baiitone), Len Walkei (dancer and light comedian), the inimita'ble Stan 'Larson ("the misleading lady"), 'Colin Cam.eron (lyric tenor) and Don Wallace (charaetei singer). Am orchestra of 10 menvbers will be a special feature of the entertainment. Bernard V. Cottier is the musical director, and Tano Fama producer. 'Tlic 'bov plan is at Clark and Grant's.
