The secretary was instructed to advertise the •lwectiu# ami •to endeavour to get a -good gathering for the occasion. ' The .secretary reported that he had not received any further word from Mr A. S. Malcolm, M.l'., regarding the improved, railway service.—Mr North said that special trains were being run every •lay, and yet the Department could not cope 'With tlie trailic, proving the necessity for more trains.—Swine members stated that it was the policy of the Department to limit the traffic on this line, ami 'by not supplying empty trucks when ordered they were losing a lot of ■money in freight.
