LORD RHONDDA'S MISSION.
Addressing a meeting- in MidRhondda on March 24, Lord Rhondda (President of the Local Government Board) said he was going to concentrate his energies on two matters of urgent importance. One was a Bill relating to venereal disease and the other related to child welfare. A great deal pf infantile mortality could be avoided by looking after the health of mothers, advising them, and providing milk for th .e children. He also hoped to deal with the housing problem before he left, office. It he could be instrumental in Baying the lives of 20,000 to 30,000 children per annum he should feel that he had not lived in vain. -.Replying to an address, Lord Rhondda said lie returned J n political lire because he deemed it l u s duty to help the Premier, who had undertaken a terrible responsibility. He did not believe anyone was so well qualified to lead us to victory as Mr Lloyd George. Ihe riew system of government was working exceedingly well.
