Hauptlleisch, who has been conducting a drapery business at Owaka, lias disposed of his interest to Mr W. 11, Smith (well known at Owaka), and has leased .Mr A. North's farm at Ahuriri Flat. Mr Xorth has purchased Mr W. •J. -Miller's farm and residence in the Owaka township. Advice has been received that Trooper Gordon Sinclair (Otago Mounted Rilles), son of Mr John Sinclair (a well-known resident of Balelutha), and Sergeant W. J. .Morgan Roberts, who is also well known at Balelutha), having been on the staff of the local branch of the | Farmers' Co-operative, are returning to | New Zealand by hospital ship. | Sapper Len (lee, of the Kngineering j Corps, 14th Reinforcements, who has been home on final leave, left for TrenItha in by Wednesday's express. Sapper j Gee speaks highly of the camp arrangej inents and the treatment of the men, and states that lie has had the time of his life (luring his training, lie reports himself as fit as a fiddle, and certainly looks it, having gained lMlb in weight in 111 weeks. Prior to enlisting Supper Gee was in the employ of D. Munro, Balj clutlia.
