LOWESTOFT SHELLED.
BRITISH CKUISL'RS IX PURSUIT. LONDON, April 25. Official: A German battle-cruiser squadron attacked 'Lowestoft at dawn. Two persons were killed, and the damage done was only slight. Renter reports bhat the enemy were driven off by British cruiser's, which are '•basing them. The Admiralty reports that at -i.'AO this morning an enemy cruiser squadron, accompanied by light cruisers and destroyers, appeared off 'Lowestoft. The local naval forces engaged it for 20 minutes, after which it returned towards Germany, chased by our light cruisers ami destroyers. A man and a woman were killed ashore. The material damage was insignificant. Two British cruisers and destroyers were hit, but none were sunk. ZEPPELINS AS SCOUTS. LONDON, April 20. The War Office announces that either four or five Zeppelins participated in the air raid on Norfolk and Suffolk, but onlytwo of them seriously attempted to penetrate inland. 'Seventy bombs were dropped.
