Owing to the shortage of .-hips Duirh vessels are to be allowed to engage in home trade only. It has also been forbidden to .sell Dutch ships to other countries. Early in the war Dutch ships were Bold at handsome prices to foreign countries, particularly Scandinavia. With the great rise'in freights Dutch shipowners found that they had made a grievous mistake in parting with their vessels.
