ROLL OF HONOUR.
On Friday night Mrs James Craig received word that her son, Trooper Robert Youiigson, hail died of dysentery on August 1. The message did not state whether Trooper Youiigson had been at Turkey or in Egypt. He was a son of the late George Youugson, and was born at Highcliffs, North Otago, 25 years ago. He became apprenticed to the bakery trade, and spent most of the latter years of his life in Balclutha, living with his mother and step-father, tie joined the third reinforcements, but contracting measles while in Elthain, he was transferred to the Fourth Reinforcements. J n the last letter received from Trooper Youiigson he said that he would be leaving Alexandria for Gallipoli in a few days.
Other locally-known soldiers whose names we notice in the casualty lists of the last few days are:—Missing (August 6): Private Henry William Dixon (Mr H. W. Dixon, North Balclutha, father). Wounded (no date given): Trooper Henry Jas. Olive Wells (Mr Wra, Wells, Papatowai, uncle). Dis« embarked at Malta, slightly sick (August 27): Troopers George E. Stirling and J. S. Neylon (both of whom were employed at Balclutha and enlisted from this town).
