NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. LANDED IN EGYPT. WELLINGTON, Dec. The Governor is advised that the Australian and New Zealand -Expeditionary Forces have been disembarked in Egypt to assist in defence of that country and also to complete their training. When their training is completed both contingents will proceed direct to the front to fight, alongside other British troops. THE KING- IN FRANCE. VISITS THE WOUNDED. LONDON, Dec. 2. King George spent another day among the wounded. The Sepoys were delighted with His Majesty's knowledge of details of their fights. KING AND PRESIDENT. PARIS, Dec. 2. President Poincare, M. Viviani (Premier), and General J off re visited ' the British headquarters yesterday. King George and President Poincare motored to the front, and passed the day in the British lines. Though official reports do not confirm the recent Amsterdam statements that the Germans are making a new onslaught iu Flanders, there are many indications of the enemy's increased activity, and the situation remains scure. FRENCH ARTILLERY PROVES SUPERIOR. PARIS, Dec, 2. A communique states: We repulsed an attack at Saint Loi, south of Ypres, our artillery considerably damaging three heavy batteries. We captured a number of trenches at Vermelles (between Lens and Bethune). Our artillery destroyed a battery at Vemjresse, in the Craonne region, We repulsed an attack at Fontaine Maldame, in the Argonne, where we made progress.
