PEDIGREE: ORPHAN BOY is a beautiful dark bay horse, rising eight years, and stands fully 17 hands high, with splendid feet and pasterns, and good clean flat bone, and is a very heavy horse. G-dam, Jess, by Lord Salisbury (1205 C.S.B. imp.), who was never beaten in the show ring, either in Scotland or New Zealand. It is enough to mention Lord Salisbury in any animal's pedigree to stamp it witn the hall mark of quality, as he undoubtedly did more to improve the draught horses of New Zealand than any horse that ever landed on the shores of the Dominion. By the above it will be seen that ORPHAN BOY is full of the very best blood Scotland ever produced.
