PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clutha County Council intends, at a meeting to be held on the 31st day of July, 1914, to confirm the levying of the following rates:— A GENERAL RATE, under Section 117 of "The Counties Act, 1908," of lid (one penny halfpenny) in the £ upon the rateable value of all properties within the ridings of Catlins, Maelennan and South Molyneux; of lid (one penny farthing) in the £ upon the rateable value of all properties within the riding of Richardson; of Id (one penny) in the £ upon the rateable value of all properties within the ridings of Clinton (outlying), Clydevale, Glenkenich, Pomahaka and Waipahi; of 3d (three farthings) in the £ upon the rateable value of all properties within the riding of Clutha, and that part of Clinton riiling within the Clinton Town District, as appearing on the Valuation Rolls now in force; the said rates to be for the year ending March 31, 1.015, and to be payable in one instalment at the Clutha County Office, Balclutha, on the 14th day of September, 1914. A HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE, under Section 41, Subsection 9, of "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909," of l-6th (one-sixth) of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value of all properties within the County as appearing on the Valuation Rolls now in force, the said rate -to be for the year ending March 31, 1915, and to be payable in one instalment at the Clutha County Office, Baklutha, on the 14th day of September, 1914.
