BANK THEFT SEQUEL.
A customer in tht> Credit Bank of Antwerp on Saturday suddenly missed £2lO worth of banknotes that'were lying before him on the counter (staled the Antwerp correspondent of 'The Daily Mail' on December 22). Ho thought that the notes hud, been stolen by an old man with a wooden Ip£ who had just spoken to him, Ho daehea into tht> btvect, caught up tho old man and touched him on the arm, The, stranger turned round and fell dead.
Tho matt whs apparently un Enuiiidi. man, but he hus not yet been identified. A post-mortem examination made today showed that he committed Buicide. Xo bank-notes were found on him, but it is suggested that he may have had an accomplice.
