BOWLING.
The return match between Tapauui and Clinton was played on the Clinton green on Wednesday. The visitors arrived by motor ear, and play commenced about 2 p.m. At the commencement of the game the Tapauui players scored two or three very profitable heads, which gave them a substantial lead, and play resulted in an easy win for the visitors. The ladies provided afternoon tea on the green, and the game proved most enjoyable. Mr Buchanan thanked the Clinton bowlers for the enjoyable afternoon they had provided, and also accorded a hearty vote of thanks to the ladies for the irtuchettjoyed afternoon tea.
