the, bride and bridegroom, which was responded to by the bridegroom, who in turn proposed the health of the bridesmaids, to which the best man responded. Mr John McMaster, who has known the bride's family for 30 years, proposed the health of the bride's family, particularly emphasising the well-known hospitality of the "Braintra" Mcßaes, Mr George Mcßae responding. Mr H. Robertson, of Mabel, performed a similar function for the bridegroom's family, and mentioned that a farewell social had been given to the bridegroom at Mabel, and some handsome tokens of goodwill presented to him. Mr T. W. MeGillivray responded. Mr George McRae proposed "Our Guests," many of whom had come long distances to be present Mr D. Mcßae, of "Braeside," Hokonui, replied in a very happy style. Mr Duncan Mcßae apologised for the absence of Mr and Mrs DcDonald, of Edendale, who were unavoidably absent on account of ill-health. Songs were suug by Mr MeGillivray, senr. (Gaelic song), Mr Robertson, Mr Rod. Mcßae; a recitation was given by Mr T. W. MeGillivray, and a pipe selection by Mr M. Watson, which made everyone mark time. After the ladies had been toasted by Mr Robertson and Mr G. Mcßae had replied the company dispersed, the happy couple departing by motor for Winton and Invercargill on their way to Dunedin. The bride's travelling dress was a costume of navy blue serge and plush hat. The presents were laid out in the dining-room, and made a goodly array of cheques, silver, etc. The last daughter has left the old "Braintra" roof-tree, and the best wishes for their future happiness arise from those who will miss her very much on any future visits here. I understand her home is to be near Mataura.
