WAITEPEKA V. ROMAHAPA. (Correspondent.) On Saturday, February 1, on Romahapa courts, representatives of the above clubs met in a friendly match. The day was very windy, and towards evening got very cold. Owing to the squally nature, of the wind really good play was out of the question, but the players seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Following are the scores I (Waitepeka names first): — I Messrs G. E. Somerville and H. Fletcher 6 beat Messrs R. Martin and McBride 5. Messrs M. Fletcher and J. G. Somerille 6 beat Messrs Roy and M. Spence 5. Misses Mina Fletcher and Davis 6 beat Misses McLaren and Ogilvy 3. | Misses Winnie Jack and Jane Fletcher , 6 beat Misses McLaren and Kilgour 1. Mr G, E. Somerville and Miss Mina Fletcher 2 lost to Mr R. Martin and Miss Ogilvy 6. Mr M. Fletcher and Miss Davis 6 beat Mr Mcßridc aud Miss McLaren 1. Mr 11. Fletcher aud Miss Jack 6 beat Mr Roy and Miss Kilgour 5. Mr J. G. Somerville and Miss J. Fletcher 6 beat Mr M. Spence and Miss McLaren 1. Mr G. E, Somerville 2 lost to Mr Martrh 6. Mr H. Somerville in a few remarks thanked Romahapa friends for the ! splendid afternoon's fun, and the ladies .especially far the two teas they had provided. Mr Martin suitably replied, and an exchange of clicors brought a splendid afternoon to a close. Last Saturday a team from the Clinton Tennis Club visited Heriot and played a return game, vietory attending the efforts of the, Clinton team by 24 points,
