BOUND FOR NEW ZEALAND. j FREMANTLE, Feb..l2. Seven of the Dominions' Commissioners ar« aboard the, Medina, namely, Sir Edgar Vincent (chairman). Sir A. E. Bateman, Sir H. Rider Haggard, Messrs Lorinier, Garnett, Tatlow and Campbell. Hon. G. E. Foster (Canadian Minister for Customs) and Hon. Edgar Bowring (M.L.C., Newfound-' land) will join the Commission in New Zealand. The party will arrive at Bluff on February 24. COMMISSIONERS' REQUEST. MELBOURNE, Feb. 12. Communications with the Victorian Government indicate that the commissioners are not desirous of being entertained by public bodies. The Commissioners are:—For the United Kingdom: Sir Edgar Vincent, K.C.M.G., Sir Charles John Owens, Sir H. Rider Haggard, Mr Tom Garnett (of Manchester), Mr William Lorimer (.of Glasgow); for Hon, George Eulas Foster (Minister for Trade and Customs); for. Australia, Mr Donald Campbell, LL.B., formerly a member of the Legislature of South Australia ; for New Zealand, Hon. JR. Sinclair, M.L.C.; for Newfoundland, Hon. Edgar Bowring, member of the Legislative Council). There, is also a South African delegate. His Majesty has also been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr W. A. Robinson (Colonial Office) to be Secretary to the Commission. Sir Edgar /Vincent. has served as President of the Council of the Ottoman as Governor of the "imperial Ottoman Bank, and as Financial Adviser to the Egyptian Government. He is 55 vears old and was Unionist M.P. for* Exeter 1899-1906. Sir Charles Owens was until December last general manager of the London and South-Western Railway. Sir Rider Haggard is the famous novelist and au authority on agriculture. Mr Tom Garnett is" largely concerned in the cotton trade, being a manufacturer at Clitheroe, Lanes. He is prominently connected with the Free Trade Union.
