FRUIT SALE. 8. Henry reports having held his first sale ol." Teviot fruit on l'Yidav last. There was a very good attendance, and the whole consignment of fill eases was disposed of under the hammer at satisfactory prices both to buyers and sellers. Apricots realised from iid to o'M per lb, peaches, to :>;d, plums, 2d to :Sd, mixed fruits about lid. Extra prime apricots and peaches were sold up to 44d.
OWAKA SALE. Friday, .January 17. The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand, Limited, report having yarded 185 head of cattle, 52 sheep and nine pigs. There was a large gathering of buyers present, and competition was good. The bulk of tlio yarding was secured by .Southland graziers. Fat and forward 3-year-old bullocks made up to £9 8s; 2-year-olds, to £6 os; yearlings, to £4 16s; fat cows, to £8 12s 6<l; forward cows and heifers, to £5 15s; bulls, to £7 15s; forward 2-tooth wethers, 16s 6d. Pigs—suckers 13s to 15s fid. '
