Mrs McKenzie Hanning left Kahuika last week for Hillgrove, North Otago, where she has taken over a business. Bev. W. T. Carrie, of Kaitangata, has received a call from the congregation of Mangere and Otahuhu, in the Auckland Presbytery. Dr Fleming, late of Balclutha, who has beu spending a few days' holiday at Pounawea, left Balclutha for the South on Saturday afternoon. He will probably spend a day or two in Balclutha towards the end of the week. Pr Stenhouse, of Balclutha, who has been in Fngland for about a year, arrives back early in March. Mrs Stenhouse will meet him in Australia, where they will spend a few weeks' holiday before returning. On Thursday evening a party called on Mr and Mrs Goodger at their residence at Ovvaka and presented Mrs Goodger with a purse of sovereigns. During lu>r stay in Owaka Mrs Goodger had taken a prominent part in the Presbyterian church choir. Air and Mrs Goodger left Owaka on Saturday for Waikouaiti, where the former has been transferred as postmaster. Mr McLennan, Gore, conies in his place, but as he will not be able to remove to Owaka for about a month's time, Air Egglestone will act as relieving postmaster in the interval.
