Stewart's A New Departure Iu which we request the co-operation oi all our customers. In past years customers have complained to us about the laok of attention they received while the different members of our staff were away on holiday leave. To give each member a seven-days' holiday meant a dislocation of business for at least six weeks. THIS YEAR We intend to close our Shop from JANUARY 1 to JANUAK/ 8. By doing this all our employees will have their holiday at once, and when we reopen on the 9th will be at their posts ready to give the best attention to all. We respectfully ask our Customers to get their requirements before December 31, or to delay them until Monday, January 9. We ask you to give this a fair trial, as we are fully convinced that we are acting in the best interests of all concerned. REMEMBER: WE REOPEN OUR SHOPS ON JANUARY 9 WITH A FULL STAFF. Stewart's, Balclutha and Milton.
