UNREST IN TURKEY.
POLITICAL MURDERS. I learn from a very reliable source that a few nights ago at Serras a Turkish officer was assassinated in the Military Club by his brother officers (stated the Constantinople correspondent of the 'Daily Mail' on August 2). It appears that a violent discussion arose among the officers on the subject of the recent murder at Constantinople of Zeki Bey the unfortunate journalist who opposed the Committee of Union and Progress. One of the company declared to the others that he considered Zeki Bey's murder to be the work of the committee, that the policy adopted by that body would lead to the dismemberment of Turkey, and that he, as a good patriot, was going out to address the populace and lay his views before them. Ft a ring that such a course would excite 1 Mher officers present killed their comthe people against the committee, the rade on the spot On July 25 a cavalry office)' was shot outside the barracks at Salonica, and the following night another officer met the same fate in the same vicinity.
