THREE MISLAID ELEPHANTS.
When Rudolph Bohm, a German subject, was charged at Willesden with having been drunk, he stated that he was an animal attendant and was sent from Africa to Hamburg with three elephants, but where he had left them he was unable to remember. He could speak no English andl was unable to explain to the interpreter what he was doing in England. A fine of 2s 6d was imposed.
