DEATH FROM STARVATION.

♦ . I'ho case of a woman who, it was stated, had died practically of starvation, was discussed at a. recent meeting of the Bishop Auckland (Durham) Guardians. One of the guardians said the woman's husband had contributed 9s in as many months towards her support. The woman was left starving, dying by inches. As the Board was uncertain whether the woman had applied for relief the case was referred back for full investigation.
