People visiting Clyde Street on Saturday night were more than surprisrd at tlu! wonderfully brilliant appearance of the Crown Buildings. So much so that crowds of people were, attracted to the spot, curious to know the why and wherefore of the great illumination. It proved to be a Lux incandescent 1000 candle power arc kerosene gas lamp. These wonderful lamps are worked with ordinary kerosene : no pumping whatever is required. The Lux is most, up to date : they are very simple to handle.
