People visiting Clyde Street on Saturday night were more than surprisrd at tlu! wonderfully brilliant appearance of the Crown Buildings. It proved to be a Lux incandescent 1000 candle power arc kerosene gas lamp. These wonderful lamps are worked with ordinary kerosene : no pumping whatever is required. The Lux is most, up to date : they are very simple to handle. Orders arc now being booked by thu firm's representative in Balclutha. These brilliant and soft white lights will supply a long felt want in Otago distriot. ' The light is very simple, and only ordinary kerosene ia used.
