The man earned £2 7s a week, he paid 10s a> week rent, he had n» property, and Tie had a wife and child to keep. The lawyer who was advocating the case of the creditor was still questioning the debtor when Dr McArthnr, S.M., interjected: "What's the use of going any further?" Counsel went a little further and then said that he would ask lor an order-to be made. "He is not in a bad position," he remarked. Dr McArthur: "Not in a bad position with £2 76 a week and three of them to keep! £1 17s to keep three! 1 hope I shall never see you in that position, Mr : I know I never shall." "No order!" (concluded his Worship). "Go away home, debtor!"
