Mr John Mosley, the water diviner, was here again on Saturday prospecting in the presence of a number of councillors and others, and was successful in locating springs about Victoria Park. The prospecting carried on during the past week has been successful beyond anticipations, and develop,ments so far are almost sufficient to warrant the baths being erected in Victoria Park, which is the most suitablo and central (site at the disposal of the Borough Council. Mr Yates leaves for Invercargill tomorrow morning, and is to be tendered a public social and will be presented with a testimonial in the Preabytwi&a Hail &ia (Hond&y) evwag, It
' is arrangements will bo worthy of the occasion. On Saturday evening Mr J. Penman, the well-known full back of the Association senior football team, and who lias recently joined the ranks of the benedicts, received an agreeable surprise shortly after the arrival' of the team from town. The gathering took place in Mr Cuthbertson's workshop, tend Mr Weston on behalf of the members of the senior team, and others, presented Mr Penman with 'a handsome tea-set and standard lamp, wishing him much happiness and prosperity in his ,matrimonial career, The recipient briefly replied, assuring them all of his continued interest in helping to win the Association Banner.
