WANGALOA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The harvest has started in this district. There is every appearance of the crops being short in. the straw, and there is a considerable amount of both smut and rust, to be scon among' the crops throughout the district. The Education Board's painters are busy just now painting the school and residence. _ Mr I). Haggart has sold his threshing piant to Messrs Christie Bros., of Alianton. TJic whole plant left on Tuesday morning en route for Allanton, where it is to go into commission at once. Like most other places just now we are sul'eung from want of rain, and have a fre piency of parching winds.
