Driver - (chairman), Bcgg, Adam, Smith, Clark, Bed, Gardyne, Haggart, Boyd, Russell, and Tough, —Election of Chairman.— Oa tha motion of Cr Bogg, Cr Driver Wat) re-elected to tho chuir. The following is the report of the Engineer (Mr A. Ndson) for the past month : ■ —Roads.— These are all now in good order for the traffic, and the suit"icing done is mainly repaira'to culverts and roads—Works,— The contract on tho HUond road et Stieii'a has undo slow progress since ray laso report, and tho one on ilie Mount Stuart-Manuka Creek road is stili incompleted. Some maintenance- gravel has been laid down on road from Kaitangata to Wanga'.oa..
