Ihe Government Valuation Uept. wrote that a voucher . for £Bl 1/11 subsidy on rates had been placed to credit of Borough Fund.-Received. Mr Carson, senr. wrote that he had sohl septum 5. block 11 .--Received. I.tie cork Bruce Countv Council wrote that Mr Driver had been appointed to represent Countv Council haitangata and Milton Boroughs on the Hospital Board.-Received. The Hospital Saturday Association wrote asking the Council to organise the work of collecting in the district, —Received.

Applications for the use of the recreation ground on Boxing Day were : received from the Church of England l and the Presbyterian Church.—Granted. TT. Aitchison was appointed, along with the mayor, to sign Mrs McKcnzie's lease. Mayor's Health. 'Before closing the meeting the mayor stated that owing to illhealth he had. 1 been ordered by his medical adviser' to have a complete rest. He therefore asked the council to grant him leave of absence till his health improved. Several councillors expressed regret at the mayor's indisposition and hoped he would swm be restored to health.
