CLUTHA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above gocicty was held in the Borough jjambers on Tuesday evening. The. president, Mr J. W. Mitchell, was in |ie chair, and fully a score of members were present. Balance Sheet. The secretary read the balance-sheet. He total receipts, including a credit 1 £ £2l 18/5 to begin with, amounted lo £92 9/2. The chief items were—* E»te £3O ,10/, entries £l2 12/6, 14 ambers at 10/ (£7), 39 at 5/ (9 |5/), fruit stall £1 10/. The total ooccrt receipts were £6 0/6. The jipenditure for the year was £7l 2/5, Bid the credit balance was £2l 7/.

The secretary reported that four competitors hail failed to pay _ their fees last year.—On the motion of Messrs Anderson and Hogg, it was decided to "post" their names with Jhe Athletic Union. E!ection of Office-bearers. Mr Bragg proposed the re-election o! Mr J. W. Mitchell as president. Seconded by Messrs Hogg and W. fright simultaneously.—Mr Mitchell aid he did not object, but he thought lomeone else should take a turn.— Mr T. Sinclair was proposed, but detlined saying Mr Mitchell was the right man in the right place.—The feeling being unanimously in Mr Mitchell's favour, he was elected by acdamation.

Waymouth, and :'• W. Mitchell had cancelled their debentures of £1 each in favour of the • Society, and that Mr Ingram had donated 5/- of the one held by him. The secretary was voted £4 4/ for [m services during the past year. I Sports on Boxing Day.
