The Board of Bishops of the Methodist Epiecopal Church of America have removed Dr H. G. Mitchell from the Professorship of Hebrew and Old Testament Exegesis in Boston University on the ground that he sympathises with the Higher Critics. Professor Mitchell made the following statement to the Bishops : "I accept the Old Testament as Divinely authoritative, recognising a supernatural element manifested in miracles and prophecy. I accept the Gospel statement respecting the mode of Jesus' advent into this world. I believe in the Trinity, including the Deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit. 1 believe that the death of Christ was necessary for the salvation of mankind. I have not and never had any sympathy with the doctrine of Universahsm." -* your health. Insist o the N.orth pure Ceylon. tT means the most for the money.
