RAILWAY OPEN TO KIMBERLEY.

Trains are now running through from Capetown to Kimberley.

Lord Methuen, after traversing the position abandoned by the Boers at Magersfontein, arrived at Kimberley unopposed.

Detachments from the various Australasian Contingents from Modder river, Orange river, and Belmonfc participated in the relief of Kimberley, but escaped scathless.

Other parties of Queenslanders, New Zealanders, and New South Welshmen helped in the attack on Dronsfield kopjes, killing may Boers and clearing the kopjes.
