FRENCH'S CAVALRY AT WORK.
General French's cavalry on the 12fch inst. seized Dekiel Diift, 20 miles fiouth-east of General Methuen's position, enabling Colonels Kelly Kenny's and Tucker's division to encamp on the east bank of the Riet Biver.
