MR MALCOLMS MEETINGS.
Tahatika. — There was a good attendance here to hear Mr Malcolm, Mr F. Bradfield in the chair. His address was well received and at the close many questions were asked, vrhich were answered to the apparent satisfaction of those present. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. Purekibeki. — Mr Malcolm, one of the candidates for the Clutha addressed the electors in the school hers on Monday, 17th inst. Mr John Brugh was voted to the' chair." Mr Malcolm gave a good address which was ; heard with much pleasure. No questions were asked, those present stating Mr Malcolm had covered all the ground. There was a very good attendance and the speaker received a vote of thanks. . Tahakopa.— On Wednesday night, the 19th inst., Mr Malcolm delivered an address in the Tahakopa schoolhouse, to a good attendance of the public. Mr D. M. Fea occupied the chair. The speaker was listened to with great attention and during his address was i frequently applauded. At the close of his address Mr Malcolm answered with satisfaction the questions asked him. On the motion
of Mr W. J. Lory, seconded by Mr T. F. Johnslone,' a hearty vote .of thanks to Mr Malcolm for his address was carried unanimously. A similar compliment to the chair closed the meeting. We learn that Mr Malcolm had a small meeting at Eatanui owing to the inclement weather ; a fair meeting at Chaslands. At Katea 39 were present, and Mr Malcolm got a very cordial reception and sympathetic hearing.
